CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
International Women's Day reminds us that there is still a way to go to support and encourage women especially when you acknowledge that 80% of women in the world are the poorest of the poor. There are still 27 million slaves – mostly women and girls and only 1% of world assets are owned by women. Worldly Women enables you to show your support and passion for the promotion and understanding of women around the world with an essential WA flavour.
Get a group together and be part of this global celebration at Worldly Women. A day to reflect on the achievements of all women, especially those who have paved the way before us, providing access for women to be fulfilled in career, economic and other social benefits. Join us on Friday 6 March with women in your team and share the day with upper secondary school girls also joining us on this occasion. Be moved and motivated by the award-winning career and life journeys of four local and very inspiring achievers: Dr Kristen Nowak, Aimee Silla, Lauren Heinritz, and Kerry Allan-Zinner, as well as enjoying a lunchbox lunch and business networking opportunities.
Community Benefit - LunchBox List makes available all student tickets for this event at below cost to ensure an inclusive and broad participation of students from schools across WA. Your support is valued on this day and enables our ‘rising stars’ to attend on this dedicated annual day of celebration.
Tickets are $88 and group discounts available for bookings of 12 or more women from your office. Book online today at www.lunchboxlist.com

WOMEN OF INFLUENCE - ADVICE FOR YOU
Last week over 275 women attended Government House to hear from three WA women of influence; Joanne Farrell, Rio Tinto; Celia Hammond, Notre Dame University and Eva Skira, Board Director. There were some key inspirational thoughts and concepts presented and for those who could not make it - here is some food for thought from our speakers:
1. The importance of mentoring - all of us should mentor and be mentored. The outcomes for career and self development are priceless
2. Think about and promote women and support women in the work place - there is still a lot to do
3. Education and learning is even more important in these challenging times - never stop learning to advance you and your career
4. Work-Life balance is different for everyone
5. Respect and learn about cultural differences in business whether dealing with different workplaces or your own
Post event we also had some wonderful feedback on the impact of the day including:
“Inspiring and motivating - I always leave your events feeling like I can conquer the world”
“Great opportunity to meet people outside your usual business circle”
“Inspirational, passionate women, great contacts”
Congratulations go to Lyn-Marie Hegarty, Art Gallery of WA; Carmel Ross, New Norcia Benedictine Community; and Lisa Perry, RCR Tomlinson who have won their next ticket free to attend LunchBox List. By replying to our post event feedback surveys along with many other attendees you help us make sure we are providing the best possible events in Perth for women - thank you for all feedback received.
