Michelle Cowan is a go-getter!
At just 21 years old, she became Australia’s first female accredited AFL coach, finding a role as a WAFL assistant coach at West Perth Football Club. Michelle’s drive and determination saw her planning strategy, giving guidance and not taking any cheek from 42 of the biggest ‘blokes’ in the WAFL competition!
When Michelle was 23, she was managing 150 staff through a multi-million dollar development project for the Craigie Leisure Centre with national award-winning results.
Michelle faces every challenge with guts, grit and groove, including overcoming potential family tragedy by giving the ultimate gift of life. Today, Michelle is the Managing Director of her national sports camps and events company, Specialized Training and Development.
From being the only girl in the locker room, to now presenting to more than 700 women here today, please welcome Michelle to share her story.
